So December has been a month of eating and parties so far!! We spent the first weekend celebrating  Christmas in the North of Ireland with my son, and managed to fit in a day of sight seeing round the North coast, We crossed the Carrick a Rede rope bridge, and danced on the Giants Causeway, fortunately through it was cold it wasn’t too wet or windy!

We played our second folk club of the year at Stonehaven, where we found we were the first act to perform there after they had just won the ‘Folk club of the year’ award! So we had to help them celebrate! 😉 We always find it fun deciding what to play at the folk clubs,… it went a bit scewiffy at the end when we were asked to play the Devil went down to Georgia! and the PA went on strike! (a beautiful new system we bought..a couple of teething problems!)

The 10th of Dec was our final performance of the year in the UK and was another first for us! ..a Christmas Dinner Party! We were delighted to perform to a full room of well fed folk who gave us great feed-back, enjoying the first hour as a show/concert with original music by myself and my sister Irenie, fiddle show stoppers and our irish Dancing Conchie sisters Lana and Ami.

Mr Lister and I were then joined by Jim Archibald to perform as the Mercenary Fiddler Cover Band for dancing and requests. the night finished up with DJ Gary (Mr Lister) playing all the dance/ christmas favourites and even did a couple of mini disco tracks for the young at heart! It seemed to be a good recipe for a celebratory night of Christmas Fun and the Kingwood Hotel have said they would be delighted to have us back next year so if you want to be a part of it …you can be!

We will be posting next years dates up as soon as possible.

Much love to you all and God Bless xx Elsa and Gary
